Inspirational People: Sarah Bull and Lucy Mason
With more than 3 months until the Virgin London 2012 marathon takes place, cousins Sarah Bull and Lucy Mason are already planning their fundraising activities. They have a joint target of £2,500 which they hope to raise for RAFT before they take on the challenge of the London marathon next April (Sarah is also taking on the Paris Marathon too!!).
Sarah, who ran in aid of RAFT last year with her father Nick, is joining her cousin Lucy for next year’s race, after Lucy was lucky enough to receive an official ballot place. They will both be running in memory of Laila Mason, late mother to Lucy and auntie to Sarah. Laila sadly died from skin cancer in early 2010.
Saturday 25th February 2012 has been scheduled as their first fundraising evening and will take place at North Leeds Cricket Club in Roundhay. It promises to be a great night, with music, food, drink, entertainment, games and the girls are even planning ideas for this to be a themed evening too .
