Presentation to Ruislip Northwood Probus Club

On the afternoon of Friday 3rd February, I was delighted to be invited for lunch and then to speak at Ruislip Northwood Probus Club’s fortnightly meet at Ruislip Conservative Club.
I received such a warm welcome from its members and joined the President on the top table for lunch before addressing the members for my presentation.
The duration of my talk was approximately 40 minutes, in which I spoke about the history of RAFT, our current research, our plans for the future and how the Ruilsip Northwood Probus Club might be able to help RAFT.
There were about 20 members present and they were all very interested in RAFT and the research work that we conduct, all asking lots of great questions and offering to help in a variety of ways including introducing RAFT to other groups that they belong to and the President has even nominated RAFT as one of the charities to benefit from the collection that his church regularly donate to local good causes.
I was so thrilled to be given a donation for RAFT by way of thanks for agreeing to come and speak at their meeting. It was a real pleasure to meet such lovely people and to be so warmly received by all.
My thanks to all for such a pleasant afternoon, and for the kind donation to RAFT. I very much look forward to keeping in touch, and to being introduced to other groups who may wish for myself or another RAFT representative to come and present at their meeting.
