Friendship is a single soul dwelling in two bodies…

So said Aristotle 300 years before Christ.  I would adapt his saying to say that charity is a single soul dwelling in many bodies because that is what happens when you take part in charity.  You become part of something much bigger than just yourself; you become a small part of something large that is achieving something amazing.

As CEO of RAFT I am in the lucky position to experience this every day.  From being part of a team of people who work full time to achieve something that is larger than the individual, I get to meet the wonderful people who carry out fundraising events for RAFT.  Without them we couldn’t do the research that we do, because RAFT is dependent on donations to pay for the medical research that we carry out.

One group of amazing people are the women who belong to the Sister Snog club. www.sistersnog.com  and it is really apt that the fundraising event they are organising to raise funds is going to be called The Soulful Concert.

Held on 8th February 2012 at St Bride’s, the cathedral of Fleet Street and spiritual home of the media. It promises to be an unforgettable evening of haunting melodies and heavenly harmonies. http://sistersnognov11concert.eventbrite.com/ so please do join us.
